The concept of the "Amber Wave Festival" was created based on my love of the midwest, and what art and talent it has to offer. Held on Haynie's Corner in Downtown Evansville, Amber Wave Fest is a proposal of a music and arts festival with local artists and vendors selling and promoting their work, with live performances from local bands, and food trucks feeding the crowds. I wanted to incorporate the phrase, "amber waves of grain" into the design to signify the goldenness of the midwest, while illustrating icons to signify love, crossroads and connections, and togetherness.
